Last time when the aliens landed on Bollywood soil, Jaadu managed well to win accolades from kids and adults alike. But Shirish Kunder’s Joker proved to be a bad one that boasts of some ugly aliens. In fact, the film has failed completely to mark any sort of impression in the minds and hearts of audiences. Kunder tried to have a comedy film in the form of Joker but made the funny, bad movie instead.
Storyline
Running for 1 hour 45 minutes, Joker has simple and boring storyline. Akshay Kumar playing the role of Agastya has been working hard to contact aliens but to no avail. Ill health of his father brings him to the village Paglapur. So, Agastya in the bid to help the village thinks of carrying out a foolproof plan that can bring Paglapur on the radar.
The film resolves around remote village of Paglapur that has antic people behaving madly with one another. Akshay Kumar plays the American scientist. He visits the village with his girl Diva as Sonakshi Sinha. He even discovers that Paglapur is not even on the Indian map. It doesn’t have any sort of facility and so seeing the bad condition of the village, Akshay Kumar plans to do something fruitful.
He plans to get the attention of authorities by making hoax of invasion by the aliens. His plan was going off well till the time an uncover agent gets to know the true story and so spoils Agastya’s plan.
Star performances
Akshay Kumar is nice and can be his best to this level only for such a bad movie and poor storyline. Even Sonakshi does okay in the movie and could have been better.
Music
The songs are weird and so are the dance performances by the actors.
Verdict
So, if you have that much tolerance, you can go to watch the movie. But from my side, I would recommend to have a nice weekend with your loved ones rather than wasting your money and time on this intolerable movie.
Give Joker a sure miss if you want to keep up your sanity. It has actually given Hindi film industry a bad entertainment option.
